The new South African law around rape came into effect in December 2007 and all sexual crimes are included under one law. Another important feature is that all forms of sexual abuse or exploitation are crimes and both men and women are considered to be victims and perpetrators of rape. Agisanang Domestic Abuse Prevention And Training recognises the importance of involving the entire community in efforts to end violence against women including rape.
